Cumberland County College and Rowan College of Engineering sign transfer agreement

Thursday, July 26, 2018
A transfer agreement between Cumberland County College and Rowan University provides the opportunity for Cumberland’s engineering students to transfer seamlessly into Rowan’s College of Engineering, a four-year university.

Cumberland County College Interim President Dr. Shelly Schneider, and Dr. James Piccone, Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs, welcomed Dr. Anthony Lowman, Dean of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering and its Vice Dean, Dr. Steven Chin, to sign an articulation agreement that will facilitate the transfer of Cumberland graduates and support their pursuit of a baccalaureate degree.

The articulation agreement allows students who complete an engineering degree at Cumberland County College to transfer into the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University with junior status in its Mechanical, Chemical, Civil and Environmental, or Electrical and Computer engineering programs.

A cumulative grade point average of 3.5 is required for automatic acceptance. Students who do not meet this requirement, but have a grade point average of 3.0, will be given strong consideration.
