School Counts! Golf Classic

Each year the School Counts! Golf Classic is held by the Cumberland County College Foundation on the first Wednesday of June. The 13th Annual School Counts! Golf Classic will be held on June 5, 2013, at the Sand Barrens Golf Club in Swainton. This event is the main fundraiser for the School Counts! program. Since the program’s inception in 2001, 580 scholarships have been awarded to 3,680 Cumberland County College students.

The goal of the School Counts! program is to provide two-year Cumberland County College tuition scholarships to county residents who earn four consecutive School Counts!  certificates from participating high schools. School Counts!  is a “win-win” for both Cumberland County students and the Cumberland County business community.

A School Counts! certificate affirms that a student:

Has an exemplary attendance record; Has taken a more rigorous curriculum; Has achieved a higher than average grade point average; Has successfully completed Alegebra I; And Is scheduled to graduate from high school on time.
Cumberland County businesses benefit when they hire a School Counts! student because they can count on this employee:

to come to work on time; engage in quality work; work harder than the average person; finish what they start!
