Becoming a Cumberland Student


Choosing to go to college is one of the most important and exciting decisions you will make. But the process can sometimes feel intimidating. That’s where our experienced Admissions team comes in. They’re there for you every step of the way to answer your questions and guide you through the key steps to becoming a Cumberland student.

There are just a few basic steps you’ll need to take:

  1. Complete an Admissions Application
  2. Submit Transcripts
  3. Complete Accuplacer testing (or provide SAT scores)
  4. Sign up and attend a New Student Orientation
  5. Register for classes

Admissions procedures vary a bit depending on whether you are a Degree Student or Non-Degree Student. Allied Health majors have their own procedures as well.

Degree Seeking Students
Students who enroll in programs of study leading to a degree or certificate
Non-Degree Seeking Students
Students enrolled in credit courses for personal interest, job skills, career advancement, enrichment or transfer to another institution
