Commencement 2017

The countdown is on for the best day of the year at Cumberland -- Commencement Day, Thursday May 18th, 2017.

WELCOME GRADUATES AND FAMILIES!

This is the place for students, families, faculty and staff to get all the details of graduation ceremonies as well as commencement week programs and festivities. 

Please check back as for updates as we get closer the College's 50th Commencement.  In the meantime, here are some things you need to know:

GRADUATES
All students must apply to graduate in order to be evaluated for degree or academic certificate program completion, whether or not they intend to participate in Commencement. An invitation to participate in the Commencement is extended ONLY to eligible students via CCC student email account. Those who have received an invitation to participate in Commencement, must RSVP by the deadline, April 14, 2017 by 12:00 pm, noon. If you have additional questions regarding your graduation status, please e-mail graduation@cccnj.edu.‚Äč

Commencement Rehearsal
is on Wednesday, May 17 and attendance is mandatory!
Please report to Lot L at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, May 17th. Rehearsal will last approximately 1.5 hrs. At rehearsal, students will be given instructions in detail regarding the marching order, parking, etc.

Commencement Ceremony
will be held Thursday, May 18th at 6:00 p.m. Students are requested to report to the designated area on campus, wearing commencement regalia by 5:15pm. Graduates not present are removed from the list of participants and may not enter the line.  This is a rain or shine event!

Diplomas
will be ready for pick up approximately 6-8 weeks after the conclusion of final classes. Student will be notified via email when diplomas arrive.

FAMILIES

Parking

for the Commencement ceremony is very limited.  We request that graduates and their guests car-pool as much as is possible. Go Green and travel in one car! Please remember that parking fills early so plan your time accordingly.

Viewing Options
The Commencement ceremony is a rain or shine event.  For your convenience, the ceremony will simulcast over Comcast cable channel 9 and at the college inside our Fine and Performing Arts Theatre as well as our Conference Center.
