MLK Jr. Days of Service

Friday, January 18, 2019
Life's most persistent and urgent question is, what are you doing for others?

Join us for our annual MLK Jr. Days of Service. Students and employees are encouraged to sign-up to volunteer in the community January 17 & 18.

All volunteers are invited to join us at the Kickoff breakfast on Thursday, January 17 from 9–10 a.m. in the Luciano Conference Center Banquet Room. We will welcome our keynote presentation by Key Arts Productions entitled "Respect, Aretha Franklin's Musical Civil Rights Journey." Through rousing live musical performance and integrated video projection, Respect tells the story of American music icon Aretha Franklin. The dynamic presentation chronicles Franklin's impact on American culture and contributions to civil rights during turbulent 60s. In 1967, she released “Respect,” her most famous song, and one that became inextricably linked to the civil rights and feminist movements of the time. Program includes commentary, integrated video projections, and musical performance.
