College Gymnasium, Student Center
The future of our planet is in your hands! Please join us on April 24 from Noon to 3 p.m. for CCC’s Spring Fling event!

CCC is combining Earth Day and Arbor Day to celebrate Spring Fling. The event will take place on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from Noon to 3 p.m. in the center of campus. This event will take place rain or shine, so the rain site is the gym. The first 200 students with CCC ID receive a free BBQ lunch that includes: a hot dog or hamburger, drink, and chips. Students after first 200 and staff lunch platter is available for $6.00 each. Fun events to participate include the mechanical killer whale ride, the hungry hippo chow down (inflatable), the Velcro drag race, DJ, Volleyball, Lawn Games and much more!

The event features a multitude of student clubs presenting displays/educational materials on various environmental subjects as well as eco-friendly vendors/exhibitors presented by the 2nd Nature Club for Earth Day on the Student Center Patio.  We have coordinated with our suppliers to make this a low-waste and eco-friendly event. Earth Day vendors include: Citizens United Maurice River, Millville Shade Tree, NJ Native Plant Society, Local Eggs (for sale) with chickens for fun! (In cages, of course), Homemade Lotions/ Soaps, Club Mudd, Littoral Society,  Stewart's Apiaries Honey (with an educational bee hive), and 2nd Nature. The event is co-sponsored by Student Life and Athletics, the 2nd Nature Club, Melissa Young; Media Club, Renee Post; Faith Fellowship Club, Linda Slomin; STEM Club, Joy Cole/Brittany Cresci, Latin American Club, Iris Torres and Student Senate.

Students will have an opportunity to learn more about everything from creation to endangered species, environmental concerns such as climate change as well as general sustainable practices.
