6 week Non-Instructional  Resident Artist Studio

The non-instructional studios are for students who have some experience (at least one introductory course) and would like to work in the studio to develop their craft.  Students would attend open studio hours convenient for them.  Clay is not included, but can be purchased at Clay College. Limit 50




This class is for children ages 7 to 12.  No experience is needed.  The student will explore clay hand-building techniques including pinch, coil and slab.  Your young artist will create 5 to 7 projects and learn the entire process of pottery from working with clay to glazing.  Materials included. Limit 10.

June 6th – June 27th 








Join us for a clay-filled summer!!  Clay College is hosting a three-week kid’s class.  During camp, we work on hand-building, wheel projects, and 3-D art.  During the third week, kids will have an opportunity to work together to create a gallery set-up and host a Third Friday Gallery Show on August 21st from 6pm to 9pm.  Limit 15 kids, must sign up for all three weeks.  Open to ages 7 to 12; materials included.

Pottery Wheel


Workshop Classes


With the help of an instructor, the student will learn how to “ throw” a pot on the potter’s wheel.  No experience necessary.  All materials are included.  Limit 10

Jewelry Making (3 Weeks)


Create unique jewelry using metal clay: works like clay, fires like precious metal.  Tools are provided.  There is a $30 charge for glass and jewelry findings. Some materials included.  Limit 12.

Beer Stein


Create a one-of-a-kind Beer Stein for drinking your favorite brew! Bring your imagination and ideas to add a unique handle, relief or decoration to your pre-made stein form. Students will choose a paint or glaze for their piece. All materials included. Limit 15.
