The Certified Nursing Assistant Program teaches students how to provide daily basic care for patients. A CNA provides physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes, hospitals and other various settings. A CNA must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for
themselves and help them regain and maintain daily functions. Classroom learning is taught in a “simulated” long term care classroom setting and clinical is instructed at a locally designated
long term care facility outside of the school. This course gives students the full academic and hands-on skills required to pass the state licensing exams.
