Biography

A.S. Gloucester County College

My duties are to ensure a safe and clean environment for students, staff and any customers who attend FPAC & Conference Center events.  I also provide the best customer service available to everyone I make contact with throughout my workday.

I have hired many student workers in the past and assisted them with making the work day fun and flexible while earning a few dollars along the way.

I have an Associate's Degree in Special Education from Gloucester County College (obtained in 2005), as well as certificate in computer repair from CHI Institute (obtained in 1995).  Currently, and for the past 18 years, I have worked with people with disabilities.  I've recently started a program through Abilities4work in Deptford New Jersey to have people with disabilities work with us at the college in the custodial department to give them an opportunity to experience this line of work and see if they would be interested in pursuing employment in this field.

In my time off, I also volunteer coaching little league baseball during the summer months, as well as coaching organized street hockey in the fall.  In 2014, I was coach of my son’s team, the“Tigers”, which won the championship for the minor division in Deptford. It was one of my best and memorable moments in my life!  Would not trade it for the world!

I Graduated Pathways Leadership Program in 2008 – 2009 here at the college.

In April 2009, the college newsletter “Campus Communications” published a very humbling article regarding myself and my staff.

This past fall of 2015, I received my service award for 10 years of dedicated service.

Also, in the fall 2015 at orientation day, I was recognized from Linda Slomin for “People who make Cumberland County College so great!”

I believe in always treating people how I want to be treated,  which is with respect and with a smile.
