M.A. Rowan University

Education:  I have a Masters degree in Mathematics Education from Glassboro State College (now, Rowan University) with an additional large, eclectic collection of post-graduate coursework, primarily in mathematical applications, computer science, and educational theory & practice with special emphasis lately on implementing and customizing software for online education.

Professional History: I teach mathematics (most recently: developmental algebra, statistics, pre-calculus, calculus) and computer science (literacy and, occasionally, programming languages) for Cumberland County College. I taught mathematics and some computer science courses at Glassboro High School for 28 years, then took early retirement, married again and started my new life – except I am apparently incapable of “not teaching,” so I expanded my adjunct load with Camden County College (computer science), Rowan University (computer science), and Cumberland County College (both mathematics and computer science). Then, ten years ago, a full time position opened and here I am.

Other:  If you “do the math,” you will realize that I am ancient. I am a widow with 1 daughter and 4 daughters-by-marriage, 14 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. I live on an old, non-working farmstead in a ramshackle farmhouse with 2 displaced grandsons, 2 rescued dogs, and 5 rescued cats.
