Keith Gorman was named the Director of Athletics on July 1, 2013.Gorman who is entering his 3rd year as the Director of Athletics for Cumberland County College has moved the Dukes athletic department into the national spotlight. In Gorman's short tenure the Dukes have made three appearances in the National Championship tournament (Baseball 2014, Women's Basketball 2015 and Softball 2015) and won three Region XIX titles (Baseball 2014, Women's Basketball 2015 and Softball 2015).

In Gorman's first year the athletic department set a record for highest winning percentage in its history by winning 59% of its contests.  This shattered the previous mark of 44%.  His second year was no different in that the old mark (set the previous year) was shattered again by winning an incredible 68% of its contests.

"Our success in such a short time is a direct result of hiring quality head coaches that understand two-year athletics and fit into the mission of Cumberland County College." Gorman said.

Gorman has also improved the academic performance of the student-athletes at CCC.  This has been achieved through a Academic Monitoring System that includes progress reports, study hall and peer tutoring. The graduation rate has remained high and continues to be the emphasis in the athletic department under Gorman.

Gorman was first hired at Cumberland County College as the Men's Head Baseball Coach in september of 2011 by then Athletic Director Robert Amundson. In Gorman's first season as the Dukes skipper he guided the Dukes to an incredible turn around in the 2012 spring season.  The Dukes finished with a 24-18 record which was the 4th best record in program history.  The Dukes also made it into the Region 19 playoffs.  In the previous 4 years the Dukes won a total of 25 games and had not made the Region 19 playoffs since 2004. The 2012 season was a remarkable one especially with only an 18 man roster.

Gorman has since led the baseball program to the National Championship game (2014) and is currently holds the all-time wins record in the baseball program.  Gorman's record stands at 142 wins to only 51 loses.  With just two of his recruiting classes now graduated, the Dukes baseball program has sent over 20 players to four year college or universities and another two into professional baseball.

Prior to Cumberland, Gorman was an Assistant Principal and Director of Athletics for Holy Spirit High School in Southern New Jersey.  Gorman led the revival of a storied South Jersey athletic program that had grown solvent. In his six years as the athletic director, many division, conference and state championships were won.  The football program won three state championships during Gorman's tenure. The athletic facilities also went through a metamorphosis during Gorman's watch.

Coach Gorman is originally from St. Joseph, Missouri. He played college baseball at Kansas City Kansas Community college and North Central Missouri College before receiving his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri. He received his Master's degree from LaSalle University. Coach Gorman resides in Absecon with his wife Emily and two daughters Leanna and Ellee.
