My passion for life-long learning has blessed me with over 24 years in a career in higher education that I love. Prior to coming to Cumberland County College in July 2002, I worked at a private, four-year College, which is now a University. My passion still remains student centered, people centered, and to provide the most comprehensive service and/or product to ultimately assist with overall student success.

At Cumberland County College, I’m the Executive Director of the Center for Academic and Student Success (C.A.S.S.) located in back of the student services building next to the newly renovated cafeteria.  The center houses advisement, transfer, and career services as well as testing and tutoring, and disability services. Please feel free to visit and utilize our services throughout the year. In addition, I am the campus lead for a statewide initiative called Guided Academic Pathways. This is a student success model where each student will have a defined academic pathway (map) coupled with intrusive advisement and counseling services to increase retention, student success, and graduation with a benchmark of three years or less.

I believe in the college experience, being accountable, taking risks, and being fearless. My leadership style is all about relationships and cultivating partnerships in order for our students and the college to continue to succeed. Furthermore, I believe in celebrating the small wins and want to empower employees to succeed. With my collaborative leadership approach and desire to model the way and challenge the process, CASS can and will continue to be setting the bar for success.

I’ve been married for 20 years, have a 15 year old son who enjoys being a student-athlete in basketball and baseball, and love our rescue dog Rosie who is 3 ½ years old.  I love reading James Patterson books, hanging at the beach and boardwalk and being my son's and the DUKES' number one fan.
