Dr. William Addison is a professor, Criminal Justice Coordinator, and Deputy Title IX Coordinator and investigator at Cumberland County College and Adjunct Program Coordinator at Wilmington University in their Cyber Network Security Program. In these capacities, he is responsible for identifying, creating, and structuring curricula to educate and enable students who will be entering the criminal justice work force. Additionally, as Deputy Title IX Coordinator, he ensures that the college and its policies are compliant with federal regulations.

Throughout his law enforcement career, Dr. Addison was trained by the United States Departments of Justice and Homeland Security, as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency and received numerous certifications in incident response and public safety.  He has shared his knowledge in the areas of major emergency incident response and personal safety with law enforcement officers as trainer and instructor for the Delaware County Emergency Response Team; in classrooms; and with the public, through presentations, workshops and lectures in order to make communities a safer place to live and work.

Dr. Addison holds a Bachelor’s degree from Neumann University, a Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from St. Joseph’s University and a Doctorate degree in Organizational Leadership and Innovation from Wilmington University.  He has served on a number of committees, councils, and boards and is active in engaging in partnerships with his community, having twice received the President’s Volunteer Service Award.
