Tax Return Transcripts: If selected for verification in the 2012-2013 school year, a student  

        must provide their, & if required, their parents 2011 tax return transcript(s) to Financial Aid. 

        * Go directly to the IRS - click Request a "free Transcript" of your Taxes (1040's, W2's, 1099's)
           or call the IRS at 1-800-908-9946, or send a paper request --- click here to refer

           to the IRS Transcript Request document.

            
             Note: - address entered should match your tax return; 
                      - Type of Transcript = "Return Transcript" 
                      - Tax Year = "2011" for the 2012-2013 Fafsa.

Federal Loans - New procedure for Federal Direct Student Loans

*Student Direct Loan Application - requires a FAFSA, a completed Financial Aid file,

                then both an Entrance Interview, and, a Direct Loan Master Promissory Note:
  
    Apply Online: 

a) Go to the Student Direct Loan website - https://studentloans.gov/

 

b) Click on "Sign In" - enter your Social Security Number, First Two (2) letters of

     Last Name, Date of Birth, and FAFSA PIN number 

 

c) On the next screen, select "Complete Entrance Counseling," when complete, be sure  

     you receive a "confirmation" screen 

 

d) After completing that process, select "Complete Master Promissory Note," then

    on next screen select "Subsidized / Unsubsidized" - upon completing the MPN, be

    sure you receive a "confirmation" screen

 

e) When your Financial Aid file is completed by our office, your loan will be certified.

*Exit Loan Counseling - This is required for all graduates who have borrowed under the

  Federal Stafford Loan Program(s).  Before you graduate you must complete this process

  in person or online at the Student Direct Loan website, https://studentloans.gov/, sign in 

  & click on "Exit Counseling".

 

 

 


 
*Parent Loan for Undergraduate Students (PLUS) Application 

   - requires a FAFSA & a valid S.A.R. (Student Aid Report), and,

     a Parent PLUS Direct Loan Master Promissory Note

 
    Apply Online: 

a) Go to the Student Direct Loan website - https://studentloans.gov/  

 

b) Click on "Sign In" - enter your Social Security Number,First Two (2) letters of Last Name,

      Date of Birth, and FAFSA PIN number 

 

c) On the next screen, select "Start PLUS Application Process" (Parent Loan Application) 

 

d) Later, the Parent PLUS Direct Loan application will be certified by our office. 


 


 


 

Summer Aid

 

A. Summer-I Semester:        


    ***
 Your 2011-12 FAFSA & file must be completed.  


    a) Pell Grant: If you were eligible and were not Full-Time in both the Fall/Spring

        semesters, fill-out & hand-in a "Summer Pell Request" form - click here to print

        (copies in F.A. Office); you will receive a letter listing the "estimated" amounts

        available depending on credits taken.  


     b) Loans: Must take 6 credits or more.

        - fill-out & hand-in a "Summer LOAN Request" form, click here to print

          (copies in F.A. Office) 

        - finally, scroll up & follow the instructions for "Federal Loans" above.      
 
   

B. Summer-II/III Semesters:


    *** Your 2012-13 FAFSA & file must be completed -> contact F.A. Office to start the

           process ASAP! 


    a) Pell Grant: If you are eligible and do not plan to be full-time in either the Fall/Spring

        semesters, fill-out & hand-in a "Summer Pell Request" form - click here to print

        (copies in F.A. Office); you will receive a letter listing the "estimated" amounts

        available depending on credits taken.

ALL STUDENTS REQUESTING FINANCIAL AID THROUGH THE COLLEGE MUST COMPLETE THE FAFSA BY JUNE 1st FOR THE FALL, AND, NOVEMBER 1st FOR THE SPRING SEMESTER.
