CCC and Saint Joseph’s University reach dual admissions partnership

Cumberland County College and Saint Joseph’s University have entered into an agreement to begin offering dual admissions this fall. Representatives from both institutions made the announcement during a signing ceremony at Cumberland County College’s Shirlee and Bernard Brown University Center on March 7.

“The dual admissions partnership will provide incredible opportunities for residents to earn advanced degrees from Saint Joseph’s University, which they can begin right here at Cumberland County College,” CCC President Dr. Thomas Isekenegbe said. “Cumberland County College and Saint Joseph’s University are committed to offering quality educational programs that prepare students for meaningful, in-demand careers.”

“This transfer partnership represents a tremendous opportunity for both institutions to work together to address the education needs of New Jersey residents,” said Paul DeVito, vice provost and dean of the College of Professional and Liberal Studies at Saint Joseph’s University. “With this partnership, Saint Joseph’s University will continue to provide strong academic foundations to help students achieve their educational and career goals—all while maintaining flexible class schedule options.”

CCC is the first community college in New Jersey to partner with Saint Joseph’s University to offer a dual admissions program. When students enroll at CCC, they can also enroll in the Saint Joseph's dual admissions program. CCC students who earn their associate degree in specific programs of study are guaranteed admission into SJU’s College of Professional and Liberal Studies for select bachelor degree programs of study.

The associate degree programs include:

A.A. in Liberal Arts/Humanities

A.A. in Liberal Arts/Social Science

A.A. in Liberal Arts/Business Administration

A.S. in Public Administration

A.S. in Justice Studies/Criminal Justice

A.S. in Justice Studies/Forensics & Technology

A.S. in Justice Studies/Homeland Security

A.A.S. in Justice Studies/Corrections
