The Certified Nursing Assistant Program teaches students how to provide daily basic care for patients. A CNA provides physical and emotional support for patients in nursing homes, hospitals and other various settings. A CNA must be able to provide personal assistance to individuals who are unable to care for
themselves and help them regain and maintain daily functions. Classroom learning is taught in a “simulated” long term care classroom setting and clinical is instructed at a locally designated
long term care facility outside of the school. This course gives students the full academic and hands-on skills required to pass the state licensing exams.

Licensed Certified Nursing Assistant are eligible to take this course that provides training and certification in Patient Care Technician and Phlebotomy Technician. Topics covered include vital signs, medical terminology, phlebotomy and EKG training. This program prepares students to take the National Health Career Association (NHA) certification exams for Patient Care Technician and Phlebotomy  Technician. Exam Fees and Books and included in the cost.
