Hurricane Maria Relief Effort

Las Vias at Cumberland County College and the Latin American Club are partnering with Higher Places Ministries for a Hurricane Maria Relief effort.

Donations are taken directly to Puerto Rico where volunteers are ready to assist and distribute much needed items.

Partial list of acceptable donation items:

  • Bottled water
  • Canned goods
  • Non-perishable foods (crackers, peanut butter & jelly, beans, bags of rice)
  • Clothes, underwear, socks
  • Bedding
  • Towels & Washcloths
  • Toilet Paper & Baby wipes
  • Pampers/Diapers (Adult and kid sizes)
  • Baby Formula & Baby bottles
  • Hygiene items: toothpaste, deodorant, razors, soap, shampoo, conditioner)
  • Batteries (AA, AAA, C, D, 9 volt)
  • Flashlights/Battery Operated Lanterns
  • Manual can/bottle openers
  • First Aid Kits- small, medium, large
  • Over-the Counter Medicine- Adult & Children: Tylenol, Advil, Motrin, cough syrup, allergy meds, Prenatal & Multivitamins, peroxide, antibiotic creams, Neosporin, Aspirin, Gauze, Gloves, Saline Water, Nebulizer kits, High blood pressure kits
  • Feminine Products: sanitary napkins, etc.
  • No Aerosol cans of Combustible items

Please bring your items to the Las Vias Offices in the Student Center by 6 p.m. October 3.

M–F between 9 a.m.–4 p.m., until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays
