Academic Excellence

Named gift opportunities are available for a variety of titles, projects and spaces on Cumberland County College’s campus. Named gifts may bear the donor’s name or may be named to honor a spouse or other family member, a colleague, a firm, or other persons or organizations deserving recognition.

Distinguished Visiting Professor - $2,500,000

This gift will annually provide the opportunity for a noted scholar to teach at CCC on a visiting basis for one year.

Career Pathways - $750,000 each

As part of the College’s Strategic Plan, Cumberland County College is in the process of developing career pathways in various fields. Funds will assist with implementing career/academic educational clusters for high school students and others in: (1) Architecture and Construction; (2) Business Management and Administration with Pathways in Hospitality, Tourism, and Retail; (3) Education and Training; (4) Health Sciences; (5) Law, Public Safety, and Security, through the community education, certificate, associate and baccalaureate degree levels.

Endowed Chair of Excellence - $250,000

Your gift will create a new program to recognize one faculty member annually with the Endowed Chair of Excellence honor. The selected faculty member will have the opportunity to take a semester of release time to work on professional development or research.

Endowed Professorships - $250,000

These gifts will allow the college to attract new faculty or to recognize exceptional teaching among existing faculty members in a particular discipline.

Executive in Residence - $250,000

Funds will annually attract a retired practitioner with expertise in a particular field to teach at CCC for one year.

The dollars received from naming rights will be used to create an endowment and only the interest earned on the endowment will be spent to support the named opportunity unless otherwise noted. This will ensure the perpetuity of the program’s existence. In the case of capital projects, the interest earned from the endowment will support the programs and/or operating costs associated with the specific site.
