Student Leadership, Service, and Support

Named gift opportunities are available for a variety of titles, projects and spaces on Cumberland County College’s campus. Named gifts may bear the donor’s name or may be named to honor a spouse or other family member, a colleague, a firm, or other persons or organizations deserving recognition.

President’s Honor Ceremony - $100,000

The President’s Honor Ceremony is held annually in May to recognize students for their academic achievements, athletic performance and leadership roles on campus.

Celebration of Lights - $100,000

This gift will assist the Student Activities Club with hosting the Celebration of Lights ceremony held annually in December. Twenty-four children are invited to meet Santa, treated to stockings with stuffers, and enjoy refreshments.

Textbook Loan Program - $75,000

Funds will purchase initial books; remaining funds will be endowed to replenish books as needed. This will give students who do not have the means to purchase expensive books the opportunity to borrow them.

Scholarship Endowments - $12,500

Create a scholarship endowment in honor or memory of someone special. You can select recipient criteria to closely reflect the interests of those you love. The scholarship will be awarded annually.

For further information on Named Gift Opportunities, please call the Foundation Office at 856-200-4557. A personalized proposal outlining the program and donor recognition will be developed for you.

The dollars received from naming rights will be used to create an endowment and only the interest earned on the endowment will be spent to support the named opportunity unless otherwise noted. This will ensure the perpetuity of the program’s existence. In the case of capital projects, the interest earned from the endowment will support the programs and/or operating costs associated with the specific site.
