Scholarships from Others

These additional scholarships are offered by organizations that are not affiliated with Cumberland County College or the Cumberland County College Foundation. All applications and scholarship questions should be directed to the appropriate organization. Check back frequently for new scholarship opportunities!

All for Mailers Student Scholarship
Open to high school seniors, students starting college, and current college students. Applicants should carefully research and compose an essay of 800 – 1,000 words in length on one of three topics. Submissions should include a recent photo of applicant. Information and submission instructions can be found here. Application submission deadlines are March 15 and September 15.

Apartment List Scholarship
Open to U.S. residents at least 18 years of age currently enrolled in high school and planning to attend an accredited college or university in the next academic year, or students already enrolled in an accredited college or university. Deadlines are Spring: March 1, Summer: June 1, Fall: September 1, and Winter: December 1.  Information and application can be found here

ComputerScience.org Scholarships for Women in Computer Science
Over 20 scholarships are available to women earning computer science degrees. Learn more and apply here.

Daily Lineups General Scholarship Award for Advanced Education
Students enrolled in a two year, four year, or a graduate program are eligible to apply. The General Scholarship is awarded each fall and spring semester annually. Application submission deadline is September 1, 2016. Further information and application can be found here.  

The Future Entrepreneurs of America Scholarship
Open to students seeking a business related degree. Applicants must be either a graduating high school senior that has been accepted to an accredited college/university, or a college/university undergraduate within the United States. Have a minimum accumulated 3.0 GPA. Be a legal resident of the United States or hold a valid U.S. student visa. Scholarship application, guidelines, and detailed information is available here. Human Resource Association of Southern NJ
College courses should support a demonstrated interest in a career in Human Resources. Candidate must be matriculated and have an overall GPA of 3.0. By the end of the Spring semester, have obtained 30 credits, with at least 9 credits being HR courses. Involvement in the Student Chapter is considered but not a requirement. Application is due April 15. Special applications are available here.

LionsDeal Scholarship Award
Open to legal residents of the U.S. currently enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a career in the food service or hospitality industry. Must submit a 550-650 word essay along with a personal bio. Deadline for July 31st scholarship is July 15. Deadline for January 31st scholarship is January 15. Additional information and applications can be found here.

Philanthropic Educational Organization Scholarships
The P.E.O. offers two scholarships for which CCC students are eligible. Information and applications for each can be found here.

A Place for Mom Annual Senior Care Scholarship
Five $1000 scholarships available to students enrolled in an associate’s, bachelor’s, or graduate level program at an accredited school in the fields of gerontology, medicine, nursing, social work, sociology, psychology, physical or occupational therapy, speech pathology or long-term care administration.  Deadline April 15th.  Essay topic and details found here.

R-U-N to the TOP - (Rutgers University - Newark, Talent and Opportunities Pathways Program) 
Admitted students who are transferring to Rutgers University - Newark after earning an associate’s degree from a New Jersey county college, and whose household AGI is $60,000 or less, will be offered scholarships covering 100% of undergraduate tuition and fees (after federal, state, and external scholarships have been awarded). RU-N to the TOP 

Solar Action Alliance Solar Scholarship
Open to students attending (or planning to attend) an accredited college or university full-time and have a minimum of a 3.2 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). An essay is required. Application submission deadline is July 1. Information and applications can be found here

Soroptimist

Wise Company Scholarship
Open to all legal U.S. residents who are currently enrolled (or have been accepted to enroll) in an accredited post-secondary institution of higher learning and have a 3.5 or higher cumulative GPA. Applicants must submit an essay on a specific topic, one letter of reference, and either a high school or college transcript. Application deadline is November 1.
