Reporting Emergencies or Criminal Activity

The Safety and Security Office believes that community-wide awareness, communication and involvement are necessary components in assuring a safer place to work and learn. It is the responsibility of every member of the College Community to immediately report any incident that occurs on the campus that is disruptive, or that causes harm, loss or damage to person or to personal or real property. The observer of any unacceptable or offensive behavior, criminal act, medical emergency, injury to persons, theft, auto accident, fire, vandalism, damage to buildings or equipment, should report the incident immediately.

Emergency situations often arrive unexpectedly. When an emergency situation does occur, it is important to know, who to contact and what to report.

Security can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling "777" from any campus phone. If you are calling off campus or cell phone, dial the main campus number, 856/691-8600, when the recorded message comes on dial "777".

When you report a potential emergency, or suspected criminal activity, be prepared to provide the following information:

Type of incident.
Location of incident.
Description of persons involved (if criminal in nature)
Suspected injury or condition(if medical emergency)
Your name, location, and number you are calling from.

This information will aid the Security staff in their response and subsequent handling of the incident. You should remain available to assist the Security staff with any required additional information once they arrive. Security will notify additional medical and/or law enforcement support as needed.
