Student Pathways Leadership Institute
What is SPLI?
In addition to being a lot of fun, this program is just one of the many exciting leadership opportunities available for students at Cumberland County College. Students work and learn from other student leaders as well as broaden their college experience inside and outside the classroom. SPLI is designed as a leadership training and development program tailored to the life of a college student for use both now and in the future. It's a hands-on program based on experiences and ideas of participants, facilitators and guest speakers. SPLI will be a beginning to the knowledge and training you need to compete successfully in your personal and professional life as a campus leader, as a citizen of the community and as a viable job candidate after graduation.
Through SPLI, students will have the opportunity to:
Learn about their own strengths and challenges as a leader. Develop the leadership skills that employers frequently cite as necessary for success on the Job. Collaboratively plan and implement activities that make a change on their campus or in their local community. Receive a certificate acknowledging their participation and completion of the program requirements. Foster their success within the classroom by engaging in leadership experiences. Progress in their professional development. Connect with a diverse group of people from a variety of backgrounds.How do I Apply?

When is the Application Deadline?
Closed for the 2012-2013 academic year. Please look for updates in the Fall for the 2013-2014 academic year.
I was nominated by Faculty or Staff, what's next?
Students can be nominated by a CCC Faculty or Staff. The student can choose to accept the nonimation or reject it. Although, being nominated is an honor as it indicates that the student has the qualities that matches well with SPLI's requirements. Faculty and Staff can nominate a student by filling out this nomination form.
Committment Requirements
Students wishing to participate in SPLI must show their committment to be part of this exclusive leadership program. Interested students must commit to regularly attend meetings and seminars, display positive attitude, show respect to fellow students and staff, and continue open lines of communication through the end.
