Construction of the College Student Center

Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for the Student Services Center Addition and Alterations will be received by Cumberland County College at 3322 College Drive, Vineland, New Jersey 08360 until 2:00 PM on Friday February 20, 2015, and will be publicly opened and read immediately thereafter in the College’s Administration Board Room. Bidders shall submit five (5) copies of their bid in a sealed envelope as designated in the bid documents. No bid will be accepted after the hour specified.

A Pre-Bid conference/Site visit will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at 2:00PM. This meeting will be held at the College’s Conference and Events Center Executive Board Room. Questions MUST be emailed to: coster@cccnj.edu by this date.

Drawings, Specifications and the form of bid will be available by CD in the College’s Finance/Purchasing Office in the Administration Building and can be obtained on or after Friday January 16, 2015 during regular office hours for a NON-REFUNDABLE fee of $20.00 made payable to Cumberland County College.

Bids must be made on the standard proposal form and must be accompanied by either a bid bond, certified check or a cashier’s check drawn to the order of the Cumberland County College for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a surety bond in the full amount of the contract of a company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey.

Bidding shall be in conformance with the applicable requirements of N.J.S.A. 18A:64A-25.1 et seq., pertaining to the “County College Contracts Law”. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., New Jersey Public Law 1975, Chapter 127, and New Jersey Public Law 1977 Chapter 33 and N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.25. Bidders are also required to comply with the requirements of P.L. 1999, c.238 “The Public Works Contractor Registration Act”. Bidders must comply with P.L. 2001, c.134 & P.L. 2004, c.57 and must submit a copy of their NJ Business Registration Certificate that is issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury Division of Revenue in order for their proposal to be accepted, subject to P.L. 2009, c. 315. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27.

The Board of Trustees of the Cumberland County College reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularity in bids received, and to award the contract in part or whole, when deemed to be in the best interest of the Board of Trustees of Cumberland County College to do so. If your proposal is accepted, an award will be made, as the law requires, through a formal Board of Trustees Resolution.

No Bidder may withdraw his/her proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual proposal is received and opened by the College.
